Join us as the BYAP Community Manager for the Black Creator Academy! In this role, you will help create an inclusive environment for young creatives in the Greater Toronto Area. You will connect participants, mentors, and local organizations, fostering relationships that inspire growth. Your creativity will shine through impactful content, events, and social media interactions. If you’re ready to make a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Community Engagement: Build relationships with participants and mentors, ensuring ongoing support via Slack Management by keeping the community active and engaging.
Content Creation: Develop engaging content for social media to highlight program activities and participant achievements.
Program Coordination: Assist in organizing workshops and community events for a positive participant experience.
Design & Digital Presence: Use Canva (and other Design Tools) to create visuals and maintain a digital presence with Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and light Website Update (Squarespace and HTML).
A program coordinator with graphic design responsibilities may include:
Planning and Organizing: Support the program lead with initiatives and events as well as manage the social media calendar.
Creating and Managing Content: Create or manage social content, printed or web-based materials, and oversee web-based graphics.
Collaborating with Teams: Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of graphic projects, and collaborate with marketing teams to align graphics with brand strategy.
Analyzing Trends: Analyze design trends to keep graphics fresh and competitive in the market.
Implementing Best Practices: Advocate for industry best practices that enhance the work of stakeholders visually.
Liaising Between Teams: Liaise between various multi-disciplined teams in support of program objectives.
Skills and Requirements:
5+ years of experience in community management, graphic design, and social media.
Proficiency in Canva and other Adobe design tools.
Strong storytelling skills for community impact and brand narratives.
Experience with Squarespace and basic HTML.
Passion for uplifting Black creators and fostering community.
Ability to adapt, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
French literacy is a bonus.

Email Marketing: Develop and execute campaigns to engage and grow the community.
Community Management: Lead community engagement across our top social platforms and web app to build a vibrant group of athletes and creators.
Lead Generation: Drive member acquisition and brand partnerships.
Campaign Management: Create, manage, and report on marketing campaigns to achieve growth targets.
Collaboration: Work with internal teams to align strategies and achieve community goals.
Skills and Requirements:
5+ years of experience in marketing coordination, campaign management, paid media and email marketing.
Proven experience in lead generation and community building.
Familiarity with email marketing tools (ConvertKit) and social media platforms.
Strong understanding of metrics to evaluate campaign success.
Project management skills for effective campaign oversight.
Ability to adapt, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Feedback Collection: Act as the voice of the community, gathering insights and suggestions to inform program improvements and initiatives.
Collaborative Outreach: Partner with internal teams and stakeholders to align community-building efforts with organizational goals.
Skills and Requirements:
3–5 years of experience in marketing, community management, campaign management, engagement strategies, or related roles.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
Familiarity with social media tools and community platforms.
Proactive mindset with excellent organizational skills.
Passion for empowering athletes and creators through connection and support.
Experience in event coordination or workshop facilitation is an asset.

Platform Management: Populate and organize video content and learning pathways on tg.ai, ensuring accessibility and engagement for participants.
Collaborative Coordination: Work with the advisory board, program leadership, and internal teams to ensure seamless content delivery.
Content Strategy Support: Assist in planning content timelines and strategies to meet program milestones and enhance participant experience.
Quality Assurance: Review and edit content to maintain a high standard of accuracy, branding, and relevance.
Skills and Requirements:
3–5 years of experience in content production, digital media, or a related field.
Proficiency in video editing, graphic design, and content management tools (e.g., Adobe Suite, Notion, Slack, Google Drive).
Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
Exceptional storytelling abilities and a passion for empowering diverse communities.
Familiarity with learning platforms (e.g., tg.ai or similar) is an asset.
